Garrurru Postgraduate Indigenous Scholarship

The ANU College of Asia and the Pacific and Crawford School of Public Policy offer future and current Indigenous postgraduate students to apply for the Garrurru Postgraduate Indigenous Scholarship. Scholarship recipients receive a fee-waiver scholarship for a maximum of 96 units of courses undertaken in a postgraduate program in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific — the equivalent of an entire master’s degree.

Dr Claire Clark Scholarship

In honour of Dr Claire Clark and recogtion of her interest in international relations and public policy, this Scholarship is designed to support postgraduate students pursuing programs in public policy and/or international relations and award students who have already demonstrated outstanding academic ability as an indication of their future potential impact.

The award may be available to up to two national ANU students with a demonstrated history of excellent academic performance enrolled in postgraduate programs including the Master of Public Administration and the Master of Public Policy.

Funding for this award has been generously provided by Mr Russell Clark.

In 2016, this scholarship was awarded to two Crawford School Master of Public Policy students, Ella Weisbrot and Anna Dunkley.

Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to postgraduate students who are undertaking a Masters by coursework or research or a PhD at one of nine participating world-class universities - which include ANU. In addition to demonstrating academic excellence in their own field of study, Westpac Future Leader Scholars will have the desire and potential to become leaders, inspire others and build collaborative networks across disciplines, and have a vision to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Australia.

Austudy

The Master of Environmental Management and Development and the Master of Climate Change have been listed with Centrelink as approved degrees for student income support (ie Youth Allowance for students aged 25 and under or Austudy for those aged over 25 years). To be eligible to claim student income support you must be enrolled full-time and be studying on campus.

National Security College Entry Scholarship for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Students

The ANU NSC Scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students offers a partial fee grant to a new applicant from an Indigenous community who has received an offer to join either degree program and may be awarded by the College each year.

Office of National Intelligence and National Security College Scholarship for Women

The National Security College at ANU Crawford School of Public Policy offers the scholarship The Office of National Intelligence and National Security College Scholarship for Women.

The objectives of the Scholarship are to foster the talent of Australian women interested in national security and pursuing a career in the national intelligence community, to showcase the College’s programs for high achievers, and to provide an opportunity to a standout woman who may otherwise be unable to undertake a Master of National Security Policy degree due to financial constraints.

Funding for this award has been provided by the Office of National Intelligence.

Eligibility

The award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who:

(a) is an Australian citizen; and

(b) has completed a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7.0 or above; and

(c) identifies as female; and

(d) is enrolling in the Master of National Security Policy degree program; and

(e) is not a member of the Australian Public Service/State and Territory equivalents/National Intelligence Community.

How to apply

Please send your application to Crawford.degrees@anu.edu.au with the subject title ‘Application for the ONI-NSC Scholarship for Women’ before the closing date. The application is submitted as:

(a) a statement of claims of no more than 500 words; and

(b) a current Curriculum Vitae of no more than three pages; and

(c) two (2) academic written references
