
Dr Miguel Olivo-Villabrille
Dr. Miguel Olivo-Villabrille is a Research Fellow at the Tax and Transfer Policy Institute and Assistant Director of the Economic Analysis Team in the Australian Government Department of Education.
He is an empirical microeconomist interested in analysis of issues in labour, public and family economics. He uses structural econometrics and causal analysis to answer important policy questions in those fields. His work has been published in Labour Economics, and Empirical Economics. He is currently working on the elasticity of taxable income and sheltering behaviour of high-income individuals, on retirement behaviour and super contributions of couples, and on the interaction of the labour market and marriage market.
Miguel has held positions at UNSW, and the University of Sydney. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Calgary.
