
Jeff Bennett
Jeff Bennett is Emeritus Professor in the Arndt Corden Department of Economics in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He has over 40 years’ experience as a teacher, researcher and consultant in the fields of Environmental Economics, Resource Economics and Agricultural Economics. He is a distinguished fellow and former president of the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society, a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and a former director of the Mont Pelerin Society.
Prof Bennett is a member of the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Advisory Panel (BCAP), the Social Science and Economics Advisory Board of Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) and the Social Sciences Advisory Board of the Murray Darling Basin Authority (MDBA). He also serves on the academic advisory boards of the Centre for Independent Studies and the Menzies Research Centre. He has been an advisor to numerous public and private sector organisations through his work as a consultant.
