Femili PNG is a PNG NGO that supports survivors of family and sexual violence access the services they need. It operates case management centres in Lae, Port Moresby and Goroka, and a safe house in Port Moresby.

Elly Toimbo joined Femili PNG as a caseworker in 2016, and now manages the Femili PNG Goroka Case Management Centre. The Goroka CMC helps about 14 survivors of family and sexual violence a month, including a significant number of sorcery accusation related violence (SARV) cases. It also runs an extensive outreach and community partnership program throughout the Eastern Highlands Province.

Elly visited Canberra to speak at the 2024 Australasian AID Conference. To allow for extended engagement, we hosted an informal zoom Q&A session on the evening of Thursday 5 December.

A recording will be posted shortly.

This event wass brought to you by the ANU Development Policy Centre and FemiliPNG Australia.
