FKP Roadshow visits Papua

The Forum Kajian Pembangunan (FKP) Roadshow, an initiative of the ANU Indonesia Project, travelled to Papua from 1 to -16 January 202, and it was an amazing week! A big thank you to everyone who joined us in Manokwari, Jayapura, and Merauk to discuss important climate change topics from a national and Papuan perspective.
A special thank you to our wonderful institution hosts (Universitas Papua Manokwari, Universitas Cendrawasih Jayapura, and Universitas Musamus Merauke), the brilliant speakers from both Indonesian and Australian institutions, and KONEKSI – Australia-Indonesia Knowledge Partnership Platform, for supporting in helping us shine a spotlight on this important and impactful research. It has been a fantastic journey sharing knowledge, fostering connections, and learning together.
Speakers from Indonesian and Australian institutions presented research on topics including blue carbon conservation, maintaining the integrity of ridge-to-reef landscapes, and transitioning to renewable energy.
Supported by KONEKSI, the series emphasized evidence-based solutions for sustainable development in local and national contexts. The seminars aim to contribute to policy and practice for a resilient future in Papua by addressing both mitigation and adaptation.
